Basic description
GigaBeam WiFiber links are real optic fiber replecement in last mile applications. They are operated in unlicensed bands 70/80Ghz. Hardware provides high transport capacities up to 1Gbps with reach up to 7km using by very sensitive receiver. Their major advantage is in fast delivery to operation without any license fees, approval process, excellent price in compares with metropolitan optical line and carrier class reliability. License free operation
Band 70/80GHz is panned as a license free band in Europe, bug legislation precess of general public licensing is too slow. Some countries issued general public license already.
Transport capacities
WiFiber products reach up to L1 1Gbps transparent transport capacity , L1 transparent.
Fully outdoor unit
Devices use fully ODU concept, antenna 60cm is integrated with outdoor unit.
Reliablity similar to fiber
WiFiber technology has excellent sensitivity in compares to other competitors, thanks to excellent receiver. Technology works also in conditions where laser links don't work. Technology is also very stable under rain, smog, fog and snow.
Long reach
Link reach with carrier class reliability is 2 km and up to 7 km with 99,9% reliability.
